About Cornerstone
A Houston lender with national strength.
Cornerstone Home Lending was founded in Houston in 1988 with a simple purpose: to make a positive difference in people’s lives through home lending. Nearly four decades later, it has grown into a national lender that has helped close to half a million families finance their homes.
In October 2022, Cornerstone became a state savings bank, Cornerstone Capital Bank, after merging with The Roscoe State Bank, a Texas institution with roots dating back to 1906. Its headquarters remain here in Houston, a few miles from the neighborhoods where we build.
